One of the main reasons I haven’t done much magic is because I was always embarrassed that I didn’t have the correct tools. I don’t have coloured candles, a mystical altar and I don’t have the ability to recite (nor remember) witchy incantations. I’ve recently found out that this doesn’t matter and that true magic comes from the soul, the intention and the place. So … this is my winter solstice and Yule spell made from a very auspicious post-it note and written in green biro! My words ask for protection and joy and empathy for the coming year with some doodled runes and pentacles and with a scattering of natural material from my garden (lavender, chamomile, birch leaf, yew twig and hawthorn bark). It will be burnt with some frankincense resin. So mote it be and blessed solstice everyone x
